D. The Business Side of Restoration: A New Profitability Model for the Modern Restorer, Monica Aquino and Howie Wolf of HW3 Group LLC. At The EXPERIENCE Event in the Spring, Wolf and Aquino discussed that over the past 15 years, technology, changes in claims processes and changes to the roles of parties in the restoration process have restorers working harder than ever for less money. Between price-fixing and restrictions in scope allowances to properly do the work allowed under insurance programs, restorers are left to reverse engineer profit and compromise in other areas of their business to stay alive. Part of the problem is the modern restorer is trying to fit new technology and processes into an outdated business model. The role of the estimator and technician has changed tremendously, but is it for the better? How do you make more money without a drastic increase in revenue or a reduction in expenses? We ended Part 1 of this sequel event with Wolf and Aquino discussing the issues that our industry is faced with, the dire need for change, and the introduction of a new business model for profitable restoration in the future.
And, now, Part 2. Wolf and Aquino will go into more depth of the model and discuss the roles of key employees. As carriers continue to minimize the role of the adjuster, increase the beauracracy created by third party administrators, and establish program parameters that reward less qualified restorers, a new model is essential to defend the integrity of the craft of restoration. This can’t-miss event is the second installment of a series to be held at The Experience. In Part 2, you can take away a new business model, some basic job descriptions and a basic conversion plan for your company. Learn techniques and tips from two of the most sought after consultants in the restoration industry as they share information they’ve only given private clients. Whether you participate in an insurance vendor program, franchise program or are still an independent operator, you need this information to revamp, recover and revitalize the swagger of your company. The study was limited in scope, appears to show it is possible to dry gypsum board, base trim, sill plate and insulation in place on an exterior wall without removing those materials. The method will be shown at the conference. They will show how using airflow, lowering the humidity of the ambient air, and providing energy in the form of heat on the wet surface materials can accelerate drying time.  Directed heat flow will be employed to dry gypsum board exterior walls with fiberglass insulation and no vapor barrier without removing base trim or drilling holes without any detrimental effect. C. What is it the value of moisture mapping, Mitch Byrom, Next Gear Solutions.  Why is it necessary, do we really have to do it or is it just to protect you in case you get sued?  Montego D, E & F

Part of IICRC S500 language the word “should” is mandatory. The moisture monitoring and mapping is required language from the old and new version of the S500 the only part that was optional was the actual Moisture Map that shows the floor plan and equipment used and placement each day but it was made a requirement in the 2015 update to the S500.  We sell dry air and documentation!

  • Your product is readily available outside (Dry Air)
  • It is invisible to the human eye to see evaporation or drying
  • Your only proof the equipment actually needed your monitoring and guidance is the record   of drying conditions and moisture map showing you made detailed corrections and analysis each day of the process until meeting a predetermined drying goal agreed upon by all parties
  • You’re a professional act like one
  • Proper documentation
  • Professionally delivered
  • Professionally billed/invoiced

Discuss our marketing system we have implemented, how I as the manager am the marketer and sales person. Giving how that affects the relationship building with clientele. Have an open debate as to Mark’s version as a technician with the production minded stand point to mine being a female and a manager over 7 men with the organizational mind set.  The process of scheduling to create a stable, less chaotic environment. PRE-CONVENTION EXPERIENCE with Howard Partridge, Phenomenal Products.
Tuesday September 5th, 2017 - 9:00 am - 5:00 pm - St. Thomas A

Phenomenal Products Inc.

Session 1: How to Attract Phenomenal Team Members
Everything rises and falls on leadership. If you have a dream, but no team, you have to give up the dream or build up the team. Howard and his team will show you how he got off the truck and successfully hired people for every position in the company, from technicians to office staff to managers. Howard’s team runs his company for him. He doesn’t even have to be there.

Session 2: How to Attract High End Clients
In this session, Howard will show you how to attract clients who care more about quality than price. Most cleaning and restoration companies are doing their marketing WRONG. Find out how to get powerful referral sources to refer so much business to you that you may never have to advertise again. Find out how your referral programs should be working (most are doing it wrong). And find out how to get more repeat business. You’ll also learn why your advertising isn’t working and how to get rid of price shoppers forever.

BONUS SESSION: See photos and videos of Howard’s new rug cleaning equipment, his shop, his crews and his equipment. Howard and his team will walk through a typical day at his company so you can get a feel for how all his systems work together.

Q&A Lunch
Howard gets paid $10,000.00 per day for consulting. People travel from around the globe to attend his conferences and to seek his advice. You’ll be able to ask him any question you like during lunch.

Session 3: How to Overcome Price Objections Consistently
In this session, you’ll learn how to increase your closing rates across the board. How do you handle it when you get a price objection? How do you outsmart your low-priced competitors. How do you deal with the unscrupulous cleaning and restoration companies that crop up in your area? You’ll find out how Howard’s company gets THE HIGHEST PRICES in town and his clients love his company.

Session 4: How to Increase Your PROFITS
A business without a profit is just a hobby. Many cleaning and restoration companies are in debt, and not making the kind of money they deserve. Find out how to solve all of that once and for all. Many years ago, Howard’s company was in huge debt. But today, the company is hugely profitable, and doesn’t even use a line of credit or have credit card balances. Howard is even going to SHOW YOU HIS INCOME STATEMENT FROM HIS BUSINESS.

Session 5: How to Build Systems in Your Business
In this session, you’ll learn how to get your business organized so you can have more time off with less stress. You’ll learn the ONE SIMPLE THING Howard did that changed everything for him and it will change everything for you too.
